When the man of love came to town
The difference was felt all around
The truth he lived was so profound
It showed another way
And many chose for themselves
Into their inner hearts they delved
And drinking from their sacred well
Heard what their soul did say
Their lives they were turned around
They shared the love that they had found
Resistance and disease unwound
A new freedom had it's day
But for some this posed a threat
Exposed all they had to regret
And so on him their sights were set
Bring down the man of love
The fury of the astral plane
Came through some empty human frames
Truly they were not to blame
Just pawns in the astral game
And havoc they sought to reek
A witch hunt they began to seek
Inquisition in the modern day
Suppress of livingness the Way.
But love it always will shine through
No matter what the evil do
It cannot change what is true
The imprint can be felt by you
This is a familiar tale
When love calls out the upside down
The comfort seeking in us rails
Which call will you choose to hale.
The man of love never asks
He never takes you to task
Or tells you what it is for you
That you should or need to do
But by his very livingness
We can feel how we are blessed
We can feel no need to guess
Which way it is that's true
But still the choice remains with us
In every moment it is just
Up to us to feel our way
Which way will you choose
Is it the comfort that you crave
That'll put your light into the grave
To wait until another day
Another life to come
Or will you step into your light
Let it shine out so full and bright
And take the path that's true and fight
For the love that's you.
Right now the simple truth is yours
Clearer than it has been before
Don't let it slip away from you
Hold fast to what you know is true
